Technical Requirements
System specifications and compatibility guidelines for our quantitative analysis and machine learning platform
System Specifications
Operating System Requirements
Our platform runs optimally on modern operating systems that support contemporary Python distributions and scientific computing libraries. Windows users should have version 10 (build 1909 or later) or Windows 11, while Mac users need macOS Catalina (10.15) or newer versions.
Linux users can work with Ubuntu 18.04 LTS or later, CentOS 7+, or equivalent distributions. We've tested extensively on these platforms and provide specific installation guides for each environment.
Memory & Storage
Minimum 8GB RAM for basic operations. Large dataset analysis requires 16GB or more. At least 50GB free disk space for software, data, and model storage.
Processor Requirements
Intel i5 (8th gen) or AMD Ryzen 5 (3000 series) minimum. Multi-core processors significantly improve computational performance for complex analyses.
Graphics Processing
NVIDIA GPU with CUDA support recommended for deep learning modules. GTX 1060 or RTX 2060 provide excellent performance for most applications.
Network Requirements
Broadband internet connection for data downloads and cloud features. Minimum 10 Mbps for smooth streaming of video content and real-time market data.
Software Dependencies
Python 3.8 or later serves as our primary development environment. We recommend using Anaconda distribution as it includes most required scientific libraries pre-configured. Students working with our curriculum will need pandas, numpy, scikit-learn, and matplotlib packages.
Advanced modules require TensorFlow 2.4+ or PyTorch 1.8+. Jupyter Notebook environment enhances the learning experience significantly. We provide detailed setup instructions for each software component during the enrollment process.
Component | Minimum Version | Recommended | Status |
---|---|---|---|
Python | 3.8.0 | 3.9.x or 3.10.x | Fully Supported |
NumPy | 1.19.0 | 1.21.x | Fully Supported |
Pandas | 1.2.0 | 1.4.x | Fully Supported |
TensorFlow | 2.4.0 | 2.8.x | Advanced Modules |
PyTorch | 1.8.0 | 1.11.x | Advanced Modules |
CUDA Toolkit | 11.0 | 11.6 | GPU Acceleration |
Important Setup Considerations
Before our program begins in September 2025, we'll provide comprehensive installation guides and host setup sessions. Students often find that spending time properly configuring their development environment early saves significant troubleshooting later. Our technical support team remains available throughout the program to assist with any configuration challenges.
